Certain programs won't work with Guarddog

Hi, I'm trying to set up a firewall using Guarddog, but several programs that I use regularly seem to simply not work whenever I use Guarddog to manage my firewall, even if all the correct TCP/UDP ports are open (all of these work if I : - mDNSResponder (Apple's opensource mDNS implemetation) doesn't work at all - Any of the Unreal Tournament-series games - Direct-to-IP gaming works fine, but games that I'm serving don't show up in the LAN Game browsers of other people on my LAN. - OpenAFS (<http://openafs.org/>, at boot, continuously reports that it has "lost contact with the server"; this stalls startup more or less indefinitely. I've tried defining protocols and opening all of the TCP/UDP ports that these services claim to need, as well as opening a whole bunch of extra ports that were getting dropped packets. All of these things work fine if I disable the firewall, though I'd really rather have a working firewall... I'm not certain about the OpenAFS, but the other two problems seem like they're caused by the firewall dropping broadcast packets. Could this be the problem?, and if so, is there a way to fix it?
