Some irssi developers are fans of git, and there has been talk about
it a long time, but it never happened.
I actually was a bit sceptic about "another" move (after the cvs->svn
move) at the time.
Almost no development is still happening on irssi nowadays, I don't
think a move to github is really going to change that. But it wouldn't
hurt either.
