I did delete the prefs file but that didn't make a difference. Changing the color scheme in Appearance and Settings did. I was using Windows Vista Basic. When I change to Windows Standard or Windows Classic the chat room configuration screen and the JUD registration screen look normal. I'm not seeing this behavior on Vista. It looks like it might be a font or color problem. Try moving your prefs file out of the way, and logging in again.
