problem running np-cerberus service

Hi, i'am receiving an error message when I run service np-cerberus start,
this is the output I received:

[root@ramon2 root]# service np-cerberus start

I configure np-cerberus with this:

./configure --with-linux-src=/usr/src/linux-2.4.20-8
--with-iptables=/usr/local/iptables-1.2.7a --sysconfdir=/etc

Is this an odd error? What can I do to solve this, it's really strange I
receive this error message about gcc version, because I'am using the one RH9
install , the gcc version 3.22, i'am using latest cvs version of np-cerberus
