Does NET-SNMP supports 64 Bits?

 

Hi~ Every NET-SNMP users!

 

I want to build NET-SNMP to 64bit Libraries.

 

Because, Our Process Must builded with 64bit binaries.

 

Does the NET-SNMP can build with 64Bit Library/API ?

 

Basic Building is makes library to 32Bit

 

If building NET-SNMP to 64bit Library,

1.   How can I configure/make/make install

2.   and what kind of version is adapted? (5.3 or 5.2.x?)

3.   Any Solaris patches is needed?

 

Out Environments is like below

1.   System : Sun Solaris 5.9

2.   Compiler : Sun Studio9

 

We got a ERROR MSG when we configure like below

1.   configure

CPPFLAGS=-xarch=v9 CFLAGS=-xarch=v9 ./configure --with-mib-modules="host
disman/event-mib ucd-snmp/diskio smux agentx mibII/mta_sendmail" --with-
perl-modules --with-cc=cc

2.   Error

ld: fatal: file inet.o: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64

ld: fatal: File processing errors. No output written to .libs/snmpnetstat

*** Error code 1

make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `snmpnetstat'

Current working directory /opt/MDC_pkg/net-snmp-5.2.1.2/apps/snmpnetstat

*** Error code 1

make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `subdirs'

Current working directory /opt/MDC_pkg/net-snmp-5.2.1.2/apps

*** Error code 1

make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `subdirs'

 

 

Can you show me as easy as possible?   We are not good at NET-SNMP
