I have set up an authentication scheme for III, but it is pretty rough
-- it actually telnets to the server for authentication rather than
using the API.  Currently, we're running NoCat in open mode, but we
may need to authenticate eventually, so it's on my list either to
clean up this arrangement, or figure out how to use the API.  Either
option will require some scripting.  My setup isn't ready for
presentation, but I'd be happy to share it with you if you're
interested.

We have had a maximum of 14 simultaneous users lately, topping out at
30 or so unique users per day, at three branches.  I haven't heard of
any problems yet, and I suspect this isn't near the system's limits.
