Hey there, Shawn. There will definitely be something "official" coming from the OpenNMS Group, Inc. to our OpenNMS Meridian customers. Even though we provide 99% of the development resources to the OpenNMS project, we work very hard to keep the community informed and active in the project's direction so I'm sure you'll be seeing issues raised and documentation updated to reflect direction in this matter. I think it's obvious that we'll need to be working hard with the community to validate OpenJDK's stability and raise any issues in the two projects, if any, that are needed to provide continuity for our users. Thank you for your note and we should probably create a chat room in Mattermost (https://chat.opennms.org) for continuing this discussion as we'll be shutting down these mailing lists, soon.
