Category: None Group: None >Status: Closed Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Jaguar (mohit73) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Cannot connect to remote machines Initial Comment: I recently installed -- rdesktop-1.3.1-6.i386.rpm. Got it working on local (intranet) machines perfectly. But when I try to connect remote machine outside my intranet (servers at NOC) it gives error "Connection attempt to host failed." but I can connect to those machines thru other Windows based systems. Any ideas? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Samuel (samhed) Date: 2011-09-14 14:15 Message: Yea, I don't believe this has anything to do with Rdesktop. Closing. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Date: 2005-02-09 23:49 Message: Logged In: NO Is this your network? If not, there could be an ACL on your routers disallowing port 3389 from going outside the building. Try telnet xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx 3389 and see if it connects.
