Summary: Cannot connect to remote machines

Initial Comment:
I recently installed -- rdesktop-1.3.1-6.i386.rpm. Got
it working on local (intranet) machines perfectly. But
when I try to connect remote machine outside my
intranet (servers at NOC) it gives error "Connection
attempt to host failed." but I can connect to those
machines thru other Windows based systems.

Any ideas?

Yea, I don't believe this has anything to do with Rdesktop. Closing.

Is this your network? If not, there could be an ACL on your
routers disallowing port 3389 from going outside the
building. Try telnet xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx 3389 and see if it
connects.
