: : I setup a silc server (0.1.18) on a solaris system and want to use public key : files to control access to the server (using the PublicKeyDir keyword in the : silcd.conf file). When I add a new user's key to the directory it appears I : must restart the server to get it to read the file and recognize the new user. : I tried HUPing the process but that didn't work. I don't like to have to : restart the server as that makes all the current channels go away (It also : makes the gaim client die). Any ideas on how to get the system to reread the : file? : I just tested this on my testbench and sending HUP signal to the silcd reads the PublicKeyDir and its contents and sets any valid public key into the public key cache (SILC Server 0.9.19). Naturally, the directory needs to be one that is accessible by the silcd process when it is running. Server log should indicate any possible error that may have happened during rehash.
