How did you compile slang?  The system header file sys/utsname.h is
only required if HAVE_SYS_UTSNAME_H was defined by the configure
script, and if you system does not have it, then it is not needed.

I think it is a bad idea to copy these to your windows system.  That
might explain why slang is broken on your system.

What editor are you using?  Is it an editor issue, or slrn one?
