This is a side issue which has nothing to do with the main issue. My 
query has nothing to do with determining *how* articles get put together 
into a slrn thread (subject sorting, References: header data, or

I don't want full threads.

I want to discover which message-IDs (articles) are in a thread and I 
want to determine each article's relationship to other articles within 
that thread. I don't want to do this by traversing the thread rebuilding 
that information. slrn already has that information and is showing me 
that with the thread tree.

I think there should be some tree data structure that allows an S-Lang 
macro to examine the hierarchy of the current thread.

Is this any clearer?
