config files usage inconsistencies

Moin moin, - Assume "tinrc" is a symlink: with each invocation of tin this symlink is deleted/ replaced by a plain file. The same does not happen for "filter" or "posted". For backup-convenience purposes it would be nice if the symlink for "tinrc" remained intact, too. - "newsrctable" doesn't understand '~' or $SHELLVAR expansion, so if I want to use files not in ~ but somewhere deeper below, then the paths will not be portable.
