Most likely the "problem" is the difference between a ~384k (typical
cable upload, cable is async so upload is much slower than your ~5M
download) and 100M LAN connection.

Can you view the bandwidth used on the LAN connection?  The ultravnc
client has a connection detail window that shows this; alternatively
check WinXP task manager's network tab, or most firewalls also show
traffic rates.
