Well what I reconmend for easy sake for later
wireing additions is to run a single 3-4" pieceof plastic
tubing from the basement to the attic....
A straight run is best. A second piece for
a power run.. just in case. This cost will add
next to nothing if done during construction...

I can see where communications is set to make
major changes in the next few years.... Fiber in the home
and maybe a tube from the comm boxes to the attic or
basement. This includes TV outlets where runs can be pulled
or removed and replace as changes are bound to happen.

Power is not the issue and if the house is wired on the heavy.
I used 12-2/12-3 wg for everything, and followed this set of
rules... Lights and Outlets on seperate breakers, 6 lights
per circut, 5 duples recpitals per circuit, 6-8 ft spacing
on outlets.... New wireing if done right will last a lifetime.
I am 30 years out on my home and wireing it... no problems
except for the odd circuit breaker and outlet replacement.

I personally did not see the changes in communications like
computers and the internet 30 yrs ago, but all I can say is WOW!!
But now with changes comming fast in that area, better get set for it.
