I would like to ask experts what filesystem type will make wwwoffle
working greatest speed?

Please choose out of the following:
ext2, ext3, reiserfs3.6, reiserfs4, xfs, jfs

If possible, tell me also the second and third fastest choice.

This partition is meant to be exclusively for wwwoffle, e.g. mounted as
/var/cache/wwwoffle , and will be about 1 GB in size.

This will be on a machine with a Pentium 166MMX CPU and 64 MB RAM,
on a IBM-DARA-206000 6007 MB hard drive, with the following params:

szrenica:~# hdparm -i /dev/hda

/dev/hda:

 Model=IBM-DARA-206000, FwRev=AR2OA5AA, SerialNo=AF0AFMM4873
 Config={ HardSect NotMFM HdSw>15uSec Fixed DTR>10Mbs }
 RawCHS=12416/15/63, TrkSize=0, SectSize=0, ECCbytes=4
 BuffType=DualPortCache, BuffSize=418kB, MaxMultSect=16, MultSect=off
 CurCHS=12416/15/63, CurSects=11733120, LBA=yes, LBAsects=11733120
 IORDY=on/off, tPIO={min:240,w/IORDY:120}, tDMA={min:120,rec:120}
 PIO modes:  pio0 pio1 pio2 pio3 pio4
 DMA modes:  mdma0 mdma1 mdma2
 UDMA modes: udma0 udma1 *udma2 udma3 udma4
 AdvancedPM=yes: disabled (255) WriteCache=enabled
 Drive conforms to: ATA/ATAPI-4 T13 1153D revision 17:  1 2 3 4

 * signifies the current active mode

Also which mount options to specify?

The goal is the lowest opening time of a cached document by a
webbrowser. I mostly browse standard HTML documents in ELinks text
webbrowser.
