Valles Caldera - third annual elk hunting clinic this Saturday

This Saturday, 22 July, the Valles Caldera National Preserve will 
hold it's third annual elk hunting clinic. Join Experts from the New 
Mexico Department of Game and Fish, Valles Caldera National Preserve, 
special guest speaker Ralph Ramos, of Primos Game Calls, and 
returning guest speaker Dieter Kaboth, of Wood Wise and Kick-eez, as 
we look into what makes the North American Elk (Wapiti) such a 
majestic animal. Learn behaviors and habits of the elk. Discuss 
hunting techniques like field judging elk, elk calling, and set ups 
that will make anyone who participates, a more knowledgeable and 
successful elk hunter. Veteran elk hunter Ralph Ramos will present 
aggressive elk hunting strategies including the "X" zone and rattling 
for bulls. Listen to the renowned, four time, world elk calling 
champion Dieter Kaboth work his magic. Technical product information 
provided by Charlie's Sporting Goods. This will be a day to remember, 
so don't miss out! Clinics fill quickly.


The group will complete the day by studying, watching and listening 
to the great elk herds that call the Valles Caldera National Preserve 
their home. Lunch and snacks will be provided. Don't miss this 
wonderful opportunity to share the outdoors with our youth on this 
very special piece of elk country.

The Clinic is limited to 20 people.  The cost is $150.
