Awsome project.  I know only a little bit about GIS, but it certainly seems to
be a very interesting area.  Are you looking around for more developers in 
general?  If so, have you considered contacting someone at the USGS to see if 
they would be interesting in helping out with the project?

A handheld GIS app would be very interesting, but right now I don't think I 
have time for another project.  Based on the screenshot it looks like you have
a lot there already.  Is there a site that the code can be downloaded from?
