I am starting to look into that tonight. Obviously, since I'm still at the
start of the project, I have some time to decide on licensing issues. But I
am glad we discussed it here today as it certainly brought a few issues I
was not aware of to my attention. It also allows me to understand why
Microsoft and other vendors have referred to the GPL as parasitic. I don't
agree with that statement at all but I can see where THEY would interpret it
as such.

I suppose one of the main reasons I even looked at the GPL in the first
place was because I wanted to avoid vendor lock-in. I wanted our customers
to stay with us because they 1) liked the software and services we offered
and 2) thought we did a good job. Then, I started to look at ways to support
the software while assuring it's integrity. That is really when my questions
arose. I like the dual license thing though. It seems to solve all of my
concerns.

I am at the MySQL site now reading up on it. I like how they are doing
things...
