Where the consumer is paying for bandwidth, any unsolicited direct and mass marketing is EVIL and wrong. Then, regarding phone calls and sms's: I sell my time and yet someone has the 'right' to call me, consume my time for free? How does a direct marketer obtain rights just to contact people willy nilly and consume the same people's resources at no cost to the direct marketer except in the case of sms and phone calls, their time and communication costs? In the case of email I have to actually take out rands and cents to receive unwanted communication and then I have to add myself to an opt out registry? The whole design is flawed. People should rather have a registry where they can add themselves to receive any and all marketing. 2c andre _______________________________________________ IOZ mailing list [email protected] http://lists.internet.org.za/mailman/listinfo/ioz
