Usually it's Skype, sometimes it's Skype Out, every now and again a mobile call. Landlines are for cold calling telemarketers. And voice is a distant last to iMessage or Whatsapp. I'd rather send an audio note using Whatsapp than send a voicemail, because the recipient knows it is from me. I often send photos with text. If I see something funny, I send a picture direct to friends rather than to everyone via Facebook, and they respond with the same when they can. The phone as a dedicated service is Kodak.
