Re: [Mailinglist] ACPI poweroff

Debian Sarge apparently switches off the SMPS on shutdown
(leaving the system ready to start on pressing the
start button)
but Woody didn't; there was no change in the sound.
I would like to understand this.
Is it the SMPS or something else?
