The rapid wave of smarter (there are disquieting reports of far too many du=
mb things they do) devices as well as of extremely powerful number crunchin=
g being applied to daily activities is not just another innovation where so=
mebody we know will be left behind.
I strongly suspect that the effects of these will be extremely disruptive, =
and the beneficiaries may not consider national loyalty as quite central to=
their future interests. Thus, discussing Indian industry purely in the con=
text of its technological readiness is somewhat problematic. Rather, note t=
hat some successful organisations have already demonstrated their willingne=
ss to put business before any other interest, and this is a personal philos=
ophy of the founders, usually the founder's family and successors, given ou=
r recent history.
I don't think these organisations, if and when they succeed in the new disp=
ensations, will necessarily be considered IT companies, for all that their =
core money spinners will depend purely on using information technology. And=
, aside from their origins, we might not be able to identify them as Indian=

Thrump may be "last straw" but I think the main culprit is the tetonic tech=

At the risk of adding to the enormous amount of Trump-gazing going on, this=
article suggests that his toughness on visas could merely be the last stra=
w on the backs of the major Indian IT companies. Do you agree?
