Hi Grzegorz,

I have an Orinoco Gold PCMCIA by Lucent for my laptop. It works well on both
windows and linux, easy to find driver under linux and it's always on the
lists that many famous linux wireless applications are supporting.

About 802.11g or 11b, I think that depends on your requirements. If you are
doing some tests or researches related with 11g, then sure for 11g. But if you
just need a wireless card for simple usage, I think most of the AP you can use
or find are just for 11b now. And, my personal viewpoint about 11a was not so
optimistic, and I think 11g=11a+11b, so....

And maybe you should pay some attention to WAPI standards addressed by China
Government. We still don't know what will happen after June 1, 2004.
So.....check that.

Another good news for Penguins is that Intel said the wireless driver of
Centrino for Linux will be released this year. If you have the chipset of
Centrino, you may think about this, though no WEP will be provided.....
-_____-!

Best regards.
----
Colin.
