if i log into the samba server from a window box using explorer
file://192.168.0.105
i got a log in box
and samba username and password set up on the server are working fine

if instead of the ip number I use the server hostname "localhost" I get
error
if I use network neighborhood also get error

I use dhcp in my network

from mac osx no problem from network interface and also to print on the
2 shared printers

from the browser if I use the ip number to reach the server is not a
problem but if I use
"localhost" is not reachable

guys thanks a lot, you are really cooperative!!
