Re: [ot] chinese web pages encoding

Why not do it in unicode (UTF-8) and if there's demand for the GB2312 
version, use a converter and create a GB2312 version? There should be a 
converter from UTF-8 to GB2312, since there are converters from BIG5 to 
GB2312 and so forth. 

Almost all new systems these days seem to handle UTF-8 with no major 
hiccups, so I would go with the wave of the future. 

Course, I'm not a chinese expert, so take anything I say with a pinch of 
salt. :)
