I am really rusty on this stuff. Last machine I built years ago, I 
built it to just work.

Is it possible to setup the ath9k wireless driver to work while 
running from the live Kubuntu disk to prove it will work? Where is 
the HOWTO?

lspci reports an Atheros AR9285

Is dial-up supported at all on laptops nowadays? It was super-patchy 
last time i looked.
