I would rather see something organized for south bay than changing the group name.

FWIW I contributed $180 on July 25 about a year ago towards the SVLUG meetup. Of course that's not the same as running the group. However, I am an
assistant organizer in another meetup group and I could work towards splitting the fees between paying for SVLUG and paying for this other group.

As for events actually in south bay, the best I can offer is to make a recurring event for the next 6 months at the hacker dojo in the large event
room. Probably the third Thursday of the month starting May would work. I can be one of the speakers but am not sure I could fill up all the speaking
slots, I would want help with that.

Alternatively we could do dinners + Linux-y topics for discussion rather than speakers. If we're just doing dinner topics then I would propose the
fourth Monday of the month at 7pm at Frankie Johnnie Luigi's.
