When these groups get inactive, like NMLUG, NMOSUG, FUUNM,
you could just take them over and improve instead of starting over.
The three mentioned here would have been happy to hand over
"leadership" to anybody who has new ideas of how to improve the group.
There were no power struggles or schism.
Just a lack of willing volunteers.

It seems that every couple of years somebody gets energized,
but then grows tired, and the group fizzles.
