Re: hardware troubleshooting

If you're trying two different video cards and getting the same error,
it's unlikely that they're both faulty in the same way. At this point
I'll guess your motherboard has on-board video and it's broken. This
can't be fixed, but Microsoft has some suggestions for working around
it: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/324764
The reason why you had no video on power-up with the PCI video card is
that the standard display priority is AGP -> Onboard -> PCI, so the bios
was displayed on the motherboard video output.
