so with that setup, do you access the video media file from the TV set
across on a LAN drive, or, does it need to run some server app on the PC
to stream to the TV ?

(the Sony lady told me I have to run Windows Media Player on a PC)

yes, I'd prefer not be an early adopter, but, circumstances make me, and,
all things considered, if I'm spending on new TV, being able to access
LAN/Internet has to 'good idea', thanks for confirming
