Re: Use of binaries in Mojave

Luigi,

Fink is maintained by volunteers as an open source project.  The fink-mirrors for both fink itself and for binary distributions is a somewhat complex system to maintain, again by volunteers for both time and servers.  Maintaining a binary distribution is a complex automation of builds and archiving.

I would say that it is very obvious that the binary distribution is broken for Mac OS 10.15 and not available currently.   I personally have no guess when that will be fixed.  Mostly the source distributions are a priority to keep up to date and they should be sufficient.  I would suggest that you switch to source distributions.  This is a perfectly valid work around.

If you want to help with the maintenance of the binary distribution system, I would guess that the project leaders would be glad of the assistance.  Repeating the message weekly is not going to generate a lot of progress.  The short obvious answer to your question is that there is a chance to solve the issue, but the timeline is completely unknown due to available resources.  Admittedly it is an unhelpful answer which is probably why no one responded to you.
