For reference, comparing "recent" build timings on ampere3: ampere3 (13.4/13.5/14.1/14.2 arm64-default [i.e., latest]): 134arm64 137:33:25 (34934 built), pkg 2.0.6 based, Started Sun, 23 Feb 2025 03:05:58 GMT 141arm64 136:01:11 (34959 built), pkg 2.0.6 based, Started Tue, 04 Mar 2025 16:36:30 GMT 134arm64 271:15:38 (34954 built), pkg 2.1.0 based, Started Sat, 12 Apr 2025 03:06:27 GMT 142arm64 244:49:20 (35001 built), pkg 2.1.0 based, Started Tue, 29 Apr 2025 08:19:51 GMT 135arm64 188:46:24 (35258 built), pkg 2.2.1 based, Started Tue, 08 Jul 2025 03:07:25 GMT (Those are the 4 arm64 builds with the largest Built counts.) Note that 135arm64 built 250+ more packages but took less time than either pkg 2.1.0 example. Its reported final Pkg/Hour figure was: 188 . (ampere1 also builds for armv7.) ampere1 has completed its first as well (142arm64-quarterly). Why I'm not reporting ampere1 timings: ampere1 (quarterly's aarch64 and armv7 builder) has been panicing during builds, making a mess if figuring out time frames for an overall build that spans such. So I give no information here. (A sequence of 3 different ports snapshots for the pkg 2.2.1 based 142arm64-quarterly build sequence were used, so rebuilds of some packages were done. Also rebuilds of failed builds. And so on.) Note: ampere2 has yet to start with its first pkg 2.2.1 based build: It is still working on its last pkg 2.1.4 based build. === Mark Millard marklmi at yahoo.com
