As Marco said earlier, this goes on about every two months. I'm not sure how
it manages to be on that interval, but about every two months somebody else
shows up and says "hi! can i have smp now? please? i promise to beta test it
for you and i have my shiny new dual xeon machine"... or whatever.

I can't blame anyone on this list for being irritated by the people that 
continue to show up and ask the same question or make the same remark the
last guy did sixty days ago.

Seemingly on cue, each request for smp code or offer of hardware is met by
first flames, and then somebody saying "don't flame! it isn't nice! let's add
xyz to the faq." 

I'd say something witty like "read the archives," or "thanks for your help,"
but there just isn't any point. See you in two months.
