moving interstate in two weeks - VPN's using Sun's?

Hi I'm moving interstate in two weeks to start a new job, and have been 
debating whether or not I will take my SB1000 with me and try to set up a 
VPN from the new location back to here so the machine looks like it's 
still connected to the local network using the same IP address (so web 
lookups, email, etc. all keep working).

Is there a simple way to do that? I've been looking at OpenVPN to see how 
it works and get an idea on how to set it up, but I'm not sure it will 
work with my existing network config without changes here. Currently, my 
machines connect into a switch, which goes to a Cisco 2611. From the 2611, 
another ethernet segments runs to my DSL router (a Dlink 502T), and that 
connects does the external DSL connection management. The DSL router is 
not running as a bridge - I haven't worked out how to do that and make it 
work properly with the Cisco so it does normal routing and packet 
forwarding between the DSL and the ethernet feeding into the Cisco.

If I was to install and configure OpenVPN on a machine here (ideally my 
E250 as it has lots of i/o grunt), would that work with the existing 
network config to run a VPN off to my SB1000 when it's located in another 
state on a different DSL connection?
