The actual climate and food crisis impact the way of 
exploitation of the planet. The car industrie crisis maybe 
is only a readjustment of the horizont of humanity.
 
An elite of corporations and goverments decide the 
activity of thousand of people and resourse, maybe they have seen
that in the way they have gained they richness last century
is closing the planet enviromental catastrophere. And 
suddently decide to stop to make less cars, get less
petroleum from earth.
 
The car is a key in the model and domination of the western civilitation,
for the cars infrastructure our goverments spend a millions 
of US dollars instead that use that $ for education or health.
Before the II World War German Goverment build the Auto bahn
then used it for translate his troops to the neighboring countries.
 
Last years was sold less cars in UK and USA but more in latin america,
the same occurs with cigar industrie.
 
Big earth civilations was build wiothout cars: Mayas, Egypt...the time
was dedicate to farm, arts, watch sky...
 
Mexico economy now is highly depend in petroleum and cars, that are
our main exportations. When a person visit a car plant manufacture
in Mexico can see that the workers are part of the machine, could
be robots but instead are people. In san luis potosi has just open 
a car manufacture industrie  a few monts  ago, more than 50% of 
workers are women they work 8 hours in the line production. 
The plant must produce certain quantity of cars a day, if ending the 
8 hours of work the daily goal it isn't get, the workers must continue 
with extra time until the goal is get. They get about 1/9 of money that similar
workers in the USA. Comparative to local industries they are best 
paid, slp city is car supply cluster affected by global crisis.
 
A generation of mexican before the mother stay at home, don't work
have about 4 to 8 childrens dedicate to educate them, the family eat join.
 
Actualy the families havce 2 children in average, in the industrail zone 
almost all workers eat in the plant, only the elite go to his home to eat.
 
In the last excellet issue of Carbusters was published
an article "Workers of the world relax" in clear referring to the  slogan 
of Russian Revolution of Vladimir Lenin: Workers of the world unite.
 
Actually are more human hunger in the planet according news of UN,
the cost of grains has increase.
 
I hope that occurs a new model of civilitation more human
with access to food, education, health, good transportation, arts 
for all the inhabitants of the earth, also respect to the animals and plants.

Governments around the world are bailing out their car manufacturers, this is not good.
I am an anti car campainger. I live in Gothenburg, Sweden's Detroit. Volvo is the largest employer in the region if you count the other firms that make the car bits. If the car industry suddenly goes to the dogs here, it will result in serious local social problems. Social problems on the same scale as those caused by local car use. I feel it would be useful to come with well thought out suggestions as to how the car industry could shift their production to a better product.


Is there anybody on this list that can give me clear ideas on how to go forward? Others in car industry heavy areas maybe. Tool on and build wind turbines is one common suggestion, but how...
Persuading car makers that it is more profitable to make other things instead of cars is one way forward that has hardly been discussed on this list. Yet
