Why would I believe that? It's not the case (especially since they're
terms for nationalities primarily, not ethnicity; but in any case they
aren't slurs). "Paki" is specifically an ethnic slur. It's not like Bush
calling them "Pakistinatians". That would just be an error.

Er...well we didn't call for his impeachment or anything. But it's still a
racist slur, even if he didn't intend it that way. WHen trying to calm
down a world hotspot, it would be nice if such errors didn't crop up, or
when then do, that appropriate apologizes are made.

Well, there are plenty of Pakistani-Americans...don't they count?

Remember, he was speaking to the press, presumably in a somewhat
controlled sitation.
