NY Times: Rubio 'Great Right Hope'

Florida Sen.-elect Marco Rubio is being called an "action hero" for the
right, appealing to tea party members, Hispanics and dissatisfied young
Americans. According to The New York Times, Rubio is "young, dynamic, serious
about policy, with a biography ready-made for inspiration."

Rubio defeated Florida Gov. Charlie Crist and Democratic Rep. Kendrick
Meek to win a U.S. Senate seat last Tuesday. According to the Times, he's
been labeled the “great right hope” in conservative circles.

As a rising GOP star, there has been talk of Rubio possibly running for
president in the future. But he insists that's not on his mind.

“It’s flattering and it’s fleeting,” he told the Times at his election
victory party. “Politics is full of one-hit wonders, of people that stood in
a room like this with a bunch of cameras, and no one hears from them
anymore.”
