You must be fromTexas. I don't know anyone who knows what I am talking about when I refer to a tank. I was baptised in one last year. lol It was cold too.

Old cowboy trick: put the clothes in a milk can with half full with water and suds. Put milk can in trunk of ranch car, let it roll around. Drive ranch car around all day, change the water at each tank (water pond for cattle), then hang up clothes at home that night. Next day, clean dry clothes, if no dust storms or cloudbursts.

A sturdy plastic bag might work for bike touring.

For washing clothes while on tour without a sink, just put your clothes in

 plastic bag ( I use a silnylon stuff sack) add a little bio-friendly soap

nd enough water, then smush (kneed) it up real good. Pour out the water, in

 spot 200' min. away from any creek or river, wring out the excess water,

hen do the same with just water sans the soap a couple of times.

hen your'e done washing and rinsing, take each piece of clothing and

oll it up in your towel and wring it out again to aid in the drying

rocess.
