My '03 had the same problem. It appears they are just mapped that way. Since my SV is for the track also, where I don't want to have to concentrate on a twitchy throttle, I added a Power Commander, remapped, and the problem is gone. -Mark -----Original Message----- From: SV650 Discussion List [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Jolly Roger Sent: Thursday, March 02, 2006 12:23 PM To: [email protected] Subject: twitchy throttle on '03 Hi there... I just bought an '03 SV with 150 miles (!) to use mostly as a trackbike. My girlfriend used to have an '02 SVS, and it had a really notchy on-off point on the throttle. I figured with the EFI on the '03, this behavior would be gone, but if anything its worse! Its not being ham-handed, either. At the transition spot on the throttle, I can brace my hand such that I'm providing practically zero input, and the power surges on/off in a really unpredictable and unpleasant manner. I hoped that maybe it was due to the fact the previous owner let the bike sit around without any Stabil in the tank, but I've run a few tanks of Techron through, without any improvement. I searched the archives, but only found mention of the problem in the carburetted versions. Is there a solution for the EFI bikes, or is my bike probably having some other problem?
