Ditto here...when I went to the Doc Wong clinic with Kieth Code in
attendance, that was Keith's critique of my riding style, easing the butt
off the seat but keeping my torso over the tank. He had me try the opposite=
,
keeping my butt planted on the seat but leaning my torso in the direction o=
f
the turn. He said that once I got comfortable with that, to then try gettin=
g
both the butt off the side of the seat and my torso leaned. Felt really
wierd at first. I've not had much time to practice in the twisties lately s=
o
I can either do my old style or lean the torso but haven't yet put it all
together to get my whole body leaning off.

Keith's other comment was that I was essentially cancelling out the weight
shift of my butt by keeping my torso over the tank. He said I'd actually
ride smoother by keeping my butt planted and not leaning the torso cuz at
least I'd not be moving around on the bike and altering the weight
distribution in ways that could affect the smoothness of corner entry and
exit. So, basically he was saying I'd be better off doing nothing rather
than my half-assed (pun intended) attempt to lean off the bike.

Sigh...so much to learn
