The one *on* the radio might be tough but read an old post below to the BC296 I belong to. (the 250 and 296 are very similar radios) It looks like most Uniden Cordless Phones use the same battery pack connector: "I made several of them for fellow members. you can use some wire , be sure you mash down the positive tip a bit or the batteries will be to long. but dont mash them too much as they have a vent hole that lets the heat escape when they are charging, also almost any uniden cordless phonebatterys plug will work on the bc296. you mignt have to trim a tiny bit of the edges of the plug . some have small wing like edges on them. just put them side by side and you will be able to figure it out. also radio shack is a great place to get used batteries from as they are a drop off place for recycling old battery packs. drop me a line if you need any help.
