All that needs to happen is for the radio to fall on the antenna or the rubber duck to stress the joint. I finally took the voicecoil braid off an old speaker and put that in place of the single-strand stiff wire so it wouldn't happen again. > > When stations are very strong, it is possible to hear them with a broken antenna connection and the ones further away won't come in. Open the radio up and look at the wire to see if it's broken off the board or the BNC. Regarding the little wire that is attatched to the antenna connection. I see that the wire goes throught the chip board. It is not broke from the connection but i noticed that it is loose where it goes throught the chip board and i can move it in and out but it does not come all the way out of the whole in the chip board. Could this be the problem. with not getting trunk track. or is this supose to sit lightly in the chip board? > > > --- On Fri, 1/2/09, Chuck44@... <Chuck44@...> wrote: > > > From: Chuck44@... <Chuck44@...> > > Subject: Re: [BC245XLT] Re: trunk tracking. > > To: [email protected] > > Date: Friday, January 2, 2009, 12:47 PM > > There have been cases where the antenna connection broke > > loose at the circuit board... > > > > At 1/3/2009 07:40 +1100, David Smart wrote the following: > > > > >Either way, there might be something wrong with the > > scanner, but it doesn't > > >sound like a trunking problem.
