But x2 of remei is supposed to be a set with 2 members.
lo'i cutci has many more than that. That's why I prefer
a different place structure for mei, one that allows us
to talk about "an n-some of brodas".

That would be "a pair such that at least one of the members 
is a shoe", using the current definition. {remei fi re cutci}
would seem to work, even though it sounds a bit redundant.
