Sustainability is certainly an "essential" factor of
an ecovillage...  

But so is "ecology".  I've read that humans may be
"diverting" for human use up to 40% of the productive
life on the planet.  

Do we really want to invade another area of natural
ecosystem?

Shouldn't we be using our knowledge and technology to
create human ecological communities by RESTORING
something we've already disrupted?
