This is IMO a major key to your success interpersonally. There needs to be a
shared committment to a shared process, with the consequence of bailing on
that committment being "OK, you're outta here." As you say,

That's what you want, after all, so creating strucutre that enables it is
exactly what I'm pointing to.  Those who don't want to do it that way will
