Hmmm,

Do I smell some elitist snobbery going on here?! While these are
obviously not folks I'd hang with....not in a million years. Nor do I
share their taste in architecture....what's with the put-down?!!! Why
aren't all types welcome in the endeavor? Do y'all want to 'own'
sustainablity and only let people you
think are hip to your singular vision to 'join' in.

Not sure about that Hummer.....but it's got to be some sort of tour vehicle,
no? I'll give them the benefit of the doubt....and it's not running on
hydrocarbon.

As far as I see it .....I'll be screwed anyway til people with more money
than I have start using the tech and bring the prices down. That's just
the way it is....unless
you can build it yourself.

aloha kit, you make some more good points....these folks sure got us talking
if nothing else, eh????....as far a feeling screwed till people with more
money do something, don't let that mindset get in the way, i put together a
small paradise homestead on less than 3-4 k a year income, way below current
poverty levels....lots of labors of love can do amazing things if in line
and/or harmony with nature.....all things are possible with passion and
action....in fact i hope to, before i die, start up a non profit land trust
and educational program for less fortunate folks than me....looking for
partners....aloha,
