AM_PATH_XSLT is in libxslt.m4, distributed with libxslt.
I build libxslt myself, so it ends up in /usr/local/share/aclocal.
I would think it should be in /usr/share/aclocal in your case.

I guess I can add a test to autogen.sh that only includes that directory if it 
exists.
