Did you check for SPAM filters
  
I also have a similar trouble with kmail occasionally and restarting the mail 
client fixes it.  I think there is a breakdown in the delivery chain with 
postfix

   Ss   Jul11   0:00 /usr/lib/postfix/master
    S    Jul11   0:00 qmgr -l -t fifo -u
    S    09:09   0:00 pickup -l -t fifo -u

 when I see replies to messages I've never seen I just restart postfix
