### - this is better... because it brings into debate whether or not such
a thing as mental illness actually exists or not, or is that whole subject
just an impression formulated by the likes of modern science and/or
unthinking people who can't understand (or are intolerant of) anything
that's maybe different to normal...

specific individuals only standing out at all because they're clearly
different in some way, an exaggerated difference in most instances that
demands opinions to be formed about their behaviour by the people around
them, perhaps because it's so eccentric... modern science basically just
dismissing/dodging the whole question altogether by labeling anything
different to normal as being aberrant to varying degrees on some kind of
sliding-scale (only a little bit crazy to completely nuts hah!)

that perhaps our so-called standard 'normal' is, in reality, just a
specific + rather average configuration shared by a majority, a standard
accepted norm that's evolved down the centuries into what it stands for
today... and thus anyone who can't (or wont) comply with that standard
norm is considered 'odd' in some way, from being just a little bit odd to
being very odd indeed!

that it's clearly nada to do with specific individuals being 'blessed' or
not in some manner while others have to go without, it's about the
randomness of nature and the average example of humanity nature tends to
arrive at, with plenty examples of it not quite hitting the mark in every
instance with things perhaps being less or more falling on either side of
that average line...

that if being 'different' in some way can at all be considered to be a
good thing (as many times it has indeed been proven to be) then anyone
who's 'different' from birth, or ends up that way, is just lucky in that
sense, merely the result of some random genetic configuration or even
defect that allows for other possibilities of perception to creep into
their equation by default...

which doesn't mean to say/imply that ordinary average people are thus
barred from ever experiencing such things as well, far from it, only that
some people, by dint of whatever, just so happen to be born that way a bit
closer to it all by default, they might even have an edge over the norms
in that respect and as such maybe even demonstrate a flair for it...

e.g., via research i've done into waking dreams and their connection to
hallucinations, am convinced that so called schizophrenics 'could'
potentially be the ultimate connoisseurs of waking dream states, or WILDs
as they're called... mainly because here is someone in whom that
particular door into the psyche is already wide open to varying
extents/degrees, call it a glitch or an aberration or whatever, but if
they could ever learn to 'control' it rather than being victims of it,
they'd likely be able to probe & explore those dream states like no one
else! They'd be the very best! :)
