XLST in PHP based applications

Hey there!

I've been searching for a solution to realize php-based XSLT for our
PHP-based applications all day, it seems to me there is no real solution
yet.
My question: Could it be realized somewhere else?
I'd like to generate XML-Data in PHP-Scripts and have them transformed
somewhere else (webserver, JAVA servlet ?!!?).
What possibilities are there?

Unfortunately we're bound to use 3rd party providers' web servers so we
can't use fancy stuff such as compiling new mods into apache.
